The prospect of a new world-class venue is always an enticing one for global conference organizers, Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC), on a green field site near the capital Muscat, is no exception and the Sultanate is even now waving a welcome mat to usher them in, the OCEC centre located in the new downtown Muscat area, will be just four kilometers from Muscat International Airport. Designed to host national, regional and international conventions, exhibitions, and business events, it will feature an auditorium that can seat 3,200 people, 14 meeting rooms for 70-360 delegates, two well-appointed ballrooms to seat up to 2,360, 22,000 square meters of exhibition space, 3, 4 and 5-star hotel rooms, a shopping mall, and a business park.
